Fresh Air Handling Unit

The Fresh Air Handling Unit (FAHU) or Heat Recovery Unit is a vital part of a building's HVAC system that provides fresh air. It is available in floor-mounted or ceiling-suspended configurations and uses heat recovery technology to reduce energy consumption. It is eco-friendly and can be customized for different settings like commercial buildings and hospitals.

A Floor Mounted/Ceiling Suspended Fresh Air Handling Unit (FAHU)/ Heat Recovery Unit is an integral component of an HVAC system designed to provide a continuous supply of fresh air to a building while maintaining optimal indoor air quality. It is typically installed on the floor or suspended from the ceiling and comprises various heat recovery configurations such as a Heat Recovery Wheel, Heat Pipe Heat Recovery, Recuperator, and Run around Coils. The unit is equipped with environment-friendly rock wool insulation and is custom-built to meet the site requirements.


The Heat Recovery Unit recovers energy from the exhaust air and transfers it to the fresh air, reducing the overall energy consumption of the HVAC system. These units are highly efficient and can be used in various applications, including commercial buildings, hospitals, and industrial facilities.

  • Cooling coils of copper fins and copper tubes/anti-corrosive coating. Stainless steel casing etc can be provided for coastal applications.
  • AHRI-certified cooling in accordance with AHRI 410-91.
  • Specially designed stainless steel construction drain pan with all round edges, avoiding microbial growth as per ASHRAE 62-1999.
  • Available in both chilled water and direct expansion system.
  • Refrigerant options: R22, R410a, R407c, R134a & R404a.
  • UL Certified Electric heaters.
